Measurements:

Measurement gathering is the most critical aspect in the creation of your wainscoting products. Measurements affect the process in a number of ways, and incomplete measurements can result in delays, missed delivery dates and customer dissatisfaction. Therefore, accuracy is of paramount importance!

NOTE: We generally need to have measurements that are within 1/16 in. for our products to fit together properly and present the desired appearance.

Instructions:

Measure each wall receiving wainscoting, one at a time.
ALWAYS measure from left to right, in a clockwise manner around the room.
Select a wall to begin measuring; preferably the wall with the most dominant window feature. The first measurement should be from the far left corner to the far right corner of the selected wall (Measurement E in diagram). Enter this measurement, then begin any inner measurements for windows and doors.
To measure windows and doors:
1. Measure from the wall’s left corner to the window/door outside LEFT edge (Measurement A in diagram).
2. Measure from the wall’s left corner to the window/door outside RIGHT edge (Measurement B in diagram).
3. Continue the above steps for all windows and doors on the selected wall, always measuring from the far left corner of the wall. (Measurement C & D in diagram)
Provide the desired height (Measurement F) of the wainscoting for this wall (NOTE: Most wainscoting has a standard height, with some exceptions. Your Wainscoting Depot representative will use this as a reference when discussing height of product with you.)
Complete ALL walls intended to receive wainscoting before submitting measurements.

All measurements should be LEFT TO RIGHT and to the nearest 1/16″
Enter number of openings in wall (number of windows, doors, thresholds, etc.). Enter zero “0″ if the wall has none.
Enter total length of the wall in inches to the nearest 1/16″
Select if the LEFT corner of the wall pushes in (inside) or pushes out (outside), and if the angle is equal or greater than 90 degrees
If the wall has one or more openings, select if it’s a door, window or other type of opening. Then, enter the LEFT outer edge dimension (L-Dim) and RIGHT outer edge dimension (R-Dim) of the opening
